VISITOR CHECK-IN REQUIRED: 

All visitors to the LU campus need to check-in at the main office and get a visitor sticker. If you are on campus and do not have a sticker indicating that you have signed-in you will be directed back to the main office to do so. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in making our campus safe for all students. 

Due to unsafe conditions, the outer two lanes will be prohibited from use during pick-up and drop-off times. You may park your car and walk your child into the building from one of those lanes, but you may not drop your child off from either of those lanes. Only the lane directly in front of the building will be allowed for student pick-up and drop-off. Please be extremely cautious and patient when using this lane. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to improve student safety during pick-up and drop-off times.

Three times per year all of our third through eighth grade students take an assessment known as the Measures of Academic Progress or MAP in reading and math. This assessment allows us to gain information about the ability levels of each student and how to meet the individual needs of each student. If you are looking to help your student in the areas of reading and math, the websites below offer help in both of those areas. Log on to Family Access to find out your child's most recent MAP score and then select the appropriate score to help your child gain confidence and understanding in that area.

GRADES 3-8 DISMISSAL TIMES: In an effort to help students get home in a more efficient manner we are staggering our release times at the end of the day for students in grades 3-8. Students who walk home or are picked-up by their parents will continue to be released at 3:30. Due to the busing schedule, the first bus does not leave our campus until 3:45. Therefore, students who ride the bus will remain in class until 3:40 and then released to the buses. This time is non-instructional time, but can be used at the individual teacher's discretion to read quietly, write in their planner or work on homework. If your child normally rides the bus and plans to walk home or be picked-up, please send them with a note at the beginning of the day or call the office so that we are able to avoid this confusion at the end of the day.
